GCA Announces XTech 2000
San Jose to Host Premier XML Developers' Conference and Expo

ALEXANDRIA, Va. (Jan. 24, 2000) - The Graphic Communications Association (GCA) 
announced today the details of XTech 2000, its annual XML software developer 
conference and exhibition. The conference runs from Feb. 27 through March 2, 
2000 at the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, Calif.

XTech 2000 features a concentrated educational program designed specifically 
for XML software developers, providing an in-depth look at the advancements and 
future challenges facing the XML standardization process. Conference Co-Chairs 
include Jon Bosak of Sun Microsystems, Tim Bray of Textuality, and David 
Megginson of Megginson Technologies. The program - sponsored by Sun 
Microsystems, IBM and Microsoft - will feature speakers from Microsoft, Oracle, 
Sun, the Apache Group, IBM, and Netscape, each of whom will be reporting on 
(and showing) the latest XML technologies.

"This is a cutting-edge conference, designed for those who need to know what 
will be important this coming year," said Bray. "We are going to have the very 
latest stuff, hot off the desks of the world's most influential XML developers, 
both from industry behemoths and tiny startups."

The conference is expected to attract up to 1,000 attendees from the XML
