Architag CTO Signs BizTalk Book Deal

ENGLEWOOD, CO – March 6, 2000 – Brian Travis, chief technical officer and
founder of Architag International Corporation, announced today that he has
signed a contract to produce a book on BizTalk for Microsoft Press. The
book, tentatively titled “XML Programming for SOAP and BizTalk,” is
scheduled to be available mid-year 2000. SOAP is the Simple Object Access
Protocol, an IETF standard that describes a way of invoking object methods
across the Web. BizTalk is a standard that specifies an envelope to
transport business documents between trading partners.

“For a couple of years, I’ve wanted to write a book on XML, but not just
about XML syntax.” Travis said. “Companies are finding out that they can
lower their business-to-business transaction costs by using standards built
on top of XML. Two of these standards are BizTalk and SOAP. My book will
include step-by-step instructions for building a cross-platform BizTalk
server.”

According to Architag President Bryan Snyder, this book contract is
confirmation of Travis’s recognition as an expert in business-to-business
e-commerce technologies. “This book deal also further establishes Architag’s
position as a leading solutions provider in structured information services
and business solutions. This is Brian’s third book, and we are pleased that,
after promising negotiations with several publishers, he chose the leading
publisher for technical books, Microsoft Press.”
The combination of tremendous interest in XML-related solutions, Microsoft’s
position as one of the leading software providers in this niche, and Brian
Travis’s recognition as a leader in its implementation, places Architag
International at the forefront of consulting and integration resources for
implementing business-to-business solutions.
