Sequoia Software and Sabre Inc. Team to Lower Travel Costs

Sequoia will Integrate Sabre’s Internet Travel Purchasing System with
Enterprise Information Portal Application, Sequoia XML Portal Server

COLUMBIA, Md. and FORT WORTH, TexasApril 10, 2000Sequoia Software
Corporation, a leading provider and innovator of XML-powered software for
creating Interactive e-business Portals, and Sabre Holdings Corporation
(NYSE: TSG) today announced that Sequoia will provide connectivity to the
Sabre Business Travel Solutions® corporate travel purchasing system through
its Interactive portal application, the XML Portal Server™ (XPS). Sequoia
will offer its customers integration with Sabre BTS as an optional feature
beginning in the second quarter of 2000. The relationship will enable
Sequoia to help customers better manage travel costs and save money.

Sequoia is the first enterprise portal vendor to offer its customers desktop
access to the Sabre BTS system. The resulting solution will allow Sequoia
customers to provide their employees with a personalized Web page from which
they can interact with corporate and Web-based information and fulfill their
work-related travel needs. Sequoia customers can also intelligently link
travel information with other information pertinent to the employee, such as
customer or market data or specific reports associated with a travel
destination. This reduces the effort involved in managing corporate travel
and creates opportunities for gaining competitive advantage by leveraging
XPS’s ability to aggregate information from disparate sources.

"A report from Forrester Research titled, ‘Pumping Up Intranet Portals,’
noted that firms deploying enterprise portals must include so-called
‘populist apps,’ such as an online travel management application, to sustain
interest in the portal and promote its enterprise value," said Jasen Fici,
vice president of marketing for Sequoia Software. "By providing connectivity
with Sabre, Sequoia delivers a compelling populist app as an integrated
component of XPS, our interactive portal application. We believe the
Sabre/Sequoia solution will be highly valued by our customers and are very
pleased to announce this partnership."

Sabre BTS is the industry’s leading online corporate travel management and
procurement system, giving business travelers a quick and easy way to make
their own travel arrangements on their computers while complying with
corporate policies. Sabre BTS’ open framework allows it to easily integrate
into enterprise portals, such as XPS, enabling the automation of the entire
travel transaction, including rate negotiation, reservation booking, ticket
fulfillment and policy compliance.

"Sabre has proven that the automation of the total travel transaction can
directly impact a company’s bottom line by streamlining processes and
ensuring compliance with corporate policies," said Scott W. Smith, vice
president and general manager for Sabre BTS. "Sequoia’s interactive portal
application plays a similar role by giving employees access to the specific
information and services they need to be more productive and effective."

Sabre BTS enables businesses to track every travel dollar from pre-planning
and purchasing to expense reporting and reimbursement giving the potential
to save as much as 30 percent in total travel management costs. It is in use
today by more than 300 corporations more than any other corporate travel
management system.
