RioLabs Announces EDI to XML Translation Tool for Supplier Enablement

DENVER, Colo. - July 18, 2000 - RioLabs announced Version 1.8 of its B2B
supplier enablement product suite, Proximal, with new support for two-way
EDI transactions.  Using Proximal, suppliers can integrate complex EDI
purchase orders, pricing, and inventory transactions with exchanges such as
CommerceOne and Ariba.

According to a recent AMR Research study, “It is estimated that about 80% of
the dollar value of inter-company transactions among Fortune 500 companies
is currently conducted via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).  AMR Research
expects that much of this volume will move to the Internet to take advantage
of collaboration and other advanced supply chain techniques offered through
trading exchanges.”
