Using the OASIS Announce List

The OASIS Announce mail list is a wonderful way to share your news
releases and product release information with the OASIS community.
All messages sent via our Announce list are quickly distributed to
the hundreds of interested subscribers on the list.  Our members
who send to this list report great response to these mailings and
members on the list appreciate this medium for getting news that
is important to them.

As you can imagine, there is a balance necessary in keeping this
list easy to use, accessible to all subscribers, well subscribed
and meaningful to the mail recipients.  Therefore, in order to
maximize the impact and value for all users, we ask all submitters
to follow these simple guidelines:

- The messages should be addressed to
announce@lists.oasis-open.org
- The subject line should start: OASIS Member News-
- The message should be included as text or html in the body of
the message
- The message should not include any graphics or attached files
- The message should be meaningful to OASIS members and related to
the work of our consortium

It is that simple!  In following these rules, we can ensure prompt
delivery to the largest subscription base of people who can read
your news, without imposing the need for a particular type of mail
client or specialized software.
