Subject: Vordel Appoint US Vice-President
For Immediate Release Vordel appoint Don MacDonald as Vice President, with responsibility for the company’s expansion in the US B2B integration marketplace Dublin, Ireland – 23 November 2000 – Vordel, a global supplier of XML based cohesion technologies for eBusiness, today announced the appointment of Mr. Don MacDonald as Vice President with responsibility for Sales and Channel Management in the US. Don MacDonald will head up Vordel’s operations in the US from the company’s recently opened offices in San Francisco. Don MacDonald has joined Vordel from Cogit.com where he was Senior Director of Product Marketing in the US. Cogit.com is a US firm specialising in eMarketing, providing real-time eTargeting services that apply consumer data and analytics to predict online behavior. Prior to his work with Cogit.com, Don worked with a number of IT companies in a variety of Business and IT Management roles. These included: I/PRO, a leader in Web traffic verification, analysis and research, and a wholly owned subsidiary of Engage. Prior to I/PRO, he was a product manager at Diffusion, since acquired by Vignette. He also worked for several years with Tandem Computers Inc, since acquired by Compaq, as a Solutions Architect and Sales Manager. David Ryan, CEO at Vordel expressed his satisfaction with Don’s appointment, stating: “Don has over twenty years experience of the IT industry in the US and is a much respected authority within the software development and sales fields.
