Mr. Gordon Ebanks Joins XML Global as Executive Vice President, Sales and
Marketing.

Vancouver, B.C., December 6th, 2000, XML Global Technologies, Inc. (XMLG
OTC:BB) (www.xmlglobal.com), architects and builders of XML powered
e-business platforms, announced today that it has appointed Gordon Ebanks to
the position of Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing. Mr. Ebanks
will be based in the company's New York office and will be reporting
directly to Peter Shandro, CEO of XML Global.

Mr. Ebanks will be responsible for leading the company's international sales
and marketing efforts aimed at integrating the strengths of XML Global's
products with its comprehensive web service initiatives to build complete
e-business platforms. In this role, he will lead the sales and business
development teams with the objective of securing long term strategic client
relationships. A large portion of XML Global's clients are headquartered in
the northeastern United States and to better serve this customer base Mr.
Ebanks will head XML Global's sales and marketing effort from the Company's
New York office.

Mr. Ebanks has 20 years of experience in the business and technology field,
most recently as President and Chief Operating Officer of New York based
Performance Wave where he led the successful launch of Performance Wave's
suite of Java-based products prior to the Company being acquired by the
Minneapolis based Gelco Information Network. Gelco serves more than 2,000
U.S. and multinational companies, including many Fortune 1,000 companies as
well as more than 110 government agencies. Mr. Ebanks gained much of his
high tech industry insight during his eight years at Tambrands, a leading
global consumer goods manufacturer. As Chief Technology Officer, he was
responsible for developing and executing the company's global Internet
strategy and then directing a number of Enterprise Application projects in
several countries, including Brazil, China, France, Mexico, Russia, the
Ukraine and the United Kingdom. Prior to joining Tambrands, Mr. Ebanks spent
four years with Mobil Oil as Group Systems Manager, and before this worked
with IBM's logistics group. Mr. Ebanks is a graduate of South Bank
University in London, where he earned a bachelor's degree in both computer
science and mathematics and New York University where he graduated with an
MBA specializing in Finance.
