Experienced Entrepreneur and Technology Marketer Enhances Management Team

BOSTON, Mass. and TOKYO, Japan  - January 2, 2001 - Infoteria Corporation today announced the appointment of Michael Roger Damphousse as Chief Marketing Officer.  In this new position, his responsibilities will include the development of worldwide strategy, programs and objectives for company marketing activities.  Additionally, Mr. Damphousse will direct product management, marketing research, analyst relations, marketing communications and business development.

"The XML market is developing at an incredibly rapid pace," states Tim Browne, CEO of Infoteria Corporation.  "The addition of Mike to our team will be a tremendous boon as we work to establish Infoteria as a market leader."

Mr. Damphousse brings over 15 years of senior management experience to Infoteria, with a series of high technology and new economy ventures.  He was founder and CEO of Pangaea Software, an enterprise level software solutions company.  He started his career at Modicon, where he held positions in engineering, sales, marketing and business development.

"Damphousse's insight for technology and his entrepreneurial background will bring substantial value to the XML community - and to Infoteria," shares Dick Morley, the founder of Modicon, and co-author of the book The Technology Machine.

Mr. Damphousse is also very active in the New England start-up community and serves on the boards of Aktivate Ventures, MediaUnbound, Youth Tech Entrepreneurs and is an advisor to AmeriCounsel.com.  Mr. Morley, a long time angel investor adds that, "the local investment community will miss Mike, but the shareholders of Infoteria will benefit enormously."

"I am excited to join Infoteria when it is on the verge of establishing itself as a leader in such an exciting, underdeveloped market space,"  Damphousse enthused.  "The potential and power of XML are only just beginning to be understand and appreciated, and this is an opportunity to shape the future of this technology."
