FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Virtual Access Networks Joins OASIS

Provider of Web-enabled Windows 2000 PC Migration Solutions to Sponsor XML
Interoperability Consortium

LAWRENCE, MA - December 18, 2000 - Virtual Access Networks, Inc., a leader
in PC migration and remote access technologies, today announced its
sponsorship of OASIS, the international XML interoperability consortium.
Virtual Access Networks joined to support the industry-wide organization and
its efforts to ensure open technical standards for the Internet. Virtual
Access Networks' flagship migration platform - The Van - uses XML to bridge
heterogeneous platforms and facilitate non-invasive access to data.

"Virtual Access Networks is committed to leveraging the latest XML
technology in its pursuit to provide world-class PC migration solutions to
enterprise customers," said Gerard Lynch, President and CEO of Virtual
Access Networks. "We're proud to be a sponsor of OASIS as it will allow us
to continue advancing XML standards throughout the industry."

"Virtual Access Networks is working to provide a set of integration-level
application semantics, known as Internet Content Extractor (ICE), which will
allow for a series of connectivity ports to a multitude of applications
using ebXML," added Marcus Goncalves, CKO of Virtual Access Networks. "In
other words, The Van creates a common way for data to be extracted,
exchanged and redirected across heterogeneous
platforms and among disparate devices, wired or wireless."

"We welcome Virtual Access Networks to the Consortium and look forward to
their participation," said Laura Walker, executive director of OASIS.
"Virtual Access Networks recognizes the benefit of being part of OASIS'
vendor-neutral forum for advancing XML standards throughout the industry.
Their focus on enterprise PC migration solutions will be a valuable asset to
our technical work on XML applications standardization."
