Arbortext Appoints Griff Burgh as Vice President, Corporate Development

Newly created position strengthens focus on e-business infrastructure
strategy


ANN ARBOR, Mich., January 16, 2001 -- Arbortext, Inc., a leading provider of
XML-based enterprise content integration software and business-to-business
e-commerce solutions, today announced the appointment of Griff Burgh to the
position of vice president, corporate development.  Burgh, who joins
Arbortext from Saqqara Systems Inc., assumes his new position immediately
and is based in Arbortext’s world headquarters in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

In this newly created role for Arbortext, Burgh will be responsible for
business development, strategic partnerships and product marketing.  He will
focus on product development and partner recruitment that complement the
company’s cutting-edge technology, successful product lines, and
well-respected professional services group.  Burgh will recruit additional
high-energy professionals to join the existing talented Arbortext teams in
the Ann Arbor, San Jose, Boston, London, Paris and Munich offices.
