XML Global Launches New Website to Support GoXML(tm) Foundation
----------------------------------------------------------------

Vancouver, B.C., February 21st, 2001 - XML Global Technologies, Inc. (XMLG
OTC:BB), a product focused, XML powered, e-business platform company, is
pleased to announce the launch of its new website (www.xmlglobal.com),
designed to highlight and support the GoXML(tm) Foundation product offering.
GoXML(tm) Foundation is an XML product stack that incorporates three
products: GoXML(tm) Search - a scalable, context-based XML search engine
delivering precise results; GoXML(tm) Transform - a transformation engine
for dynamic exchange of XML, EDI and other data formats; GoXML(tm) DB - a
native XML database with a high-performance query engine.

Kate Fessenden of the Aberdeen Group has called GoXML(tm) Foundation a
bedrock tool set for building a successful e-business strategy. Aberdeen
analysis shows that currently XML products are scattered throughout various
enterprise infrastructure layers. Until GoXML(tm) Foundation, they point
out, there has been no coordinated approach to developing products and no
basic XML frameworks on which to build an e-business environment. GoXML(tm)
Foundation is the world's first XML product stack and is being marketed as
an XML tool kit for Internet infrastructure problems such as data search,
data transformation and database activities. GoXML(tm) Foundation is
targeted to developers in Global 2000 firms and the financial market space.

"GoXML(tm) Foundation is a cornerstone technology platform," said Peter
Shandro, CEO of XML Global, "as it will allow companies to expand their
e-business initiatives in a variety of directions, depending on their
specific business requirements. The Aberdeen Group, Forrester Research and
others are predicting that global B2B Internet transactions will exceed $4
trillion by 2004 and that the market for systems integration could be worth
more than $50 billion a year by 2002. XML Global", continued Shandro, "is
committed to using XML technology to address the infrastructure growth that
will occur as corporations migrate their business applications to the
Internet. We are proud that GoXML(tm) Foundation is the first coordinated
XML product stack for this market."
