OASIS CO-SPONSORS XML DEVCON IN NEW YORK

OASIS is proud to co-sponsor the XML DevCon Spring conference in New
York, April 8-11.

The conference will feature ebXML Day on April 9 followed by an ebXML
Proof-of-Concept demonstration on April 10. Eleven vendors, including
OASIS members, BEA Systems, Commerce One, IBM, Netfish/Iona, Sun
Microsystems and XML Global will together simulate a global, electronic
business trading network using publicly available ebXML specifications
for Messaging, Trading Partner Agreements and Registry Repository. Other
OASIS members, Interwoven and Cisco provided software for the ebXML
demonstration, and Sterling Commerce and XMLSolutions also were
instrumental in the proof-of-concept development.

Norbert Mikula of DataChannel, member of the OASIS board of directors
and chair of our Technical Advisory Committee, will
deliver a Keynote at XML DevCon. Norbert's address, "XML In The Large:
The Big Picture," will touch on the opportunities and challenges that
lie ahead in electronic business and Internet technologies.
