Subject: OASIS Member News - Vordel and Rainbow Tecnologies form Alliance

Vordel's alliance with Rainbow Technologies latest step in improved
interoperability for secure mobile communications

Dublin, Ireland and London, England, April 11, 2001 - Vordel, a
leading provider of solutions for secure eBusiness communications, and
Rainbow Technologies™ Inc. (Nasdaq: RNBO), a leading provider of
high-performance security solutions for the Internet and eCommerce,
today announced that Rainbow Technologies has joined the Vordel, VIP
partner program.

iKey, the leading authentication token from internet security firm
Rainbow Technologies, has been integrated into Vordel's Talk XML
product suite to provide industry with a portable solution for secure,
encrypted XML communications for use with laptops, PCs, and PDAs.

In the latest step to improve the interoperability of eBusiness
security solutions, the digital identity protection offered by the
iKey has been combined with the sign-in mechanisms and encryption
features of Talk XML to guarantee that only authenticated users in a
mobile or office environment can create, modify, and distribute
XML-based documents.

"This partnership announcement is in keeping with our policy of
strategic alliances with global leaders in the eSecurity space," said
Derek O' Carroll, Vice President of Business Development at Vordel.
"By extending the interoperability of TalkXML with such solutions as
those provided by Rainbow Technologies, Vordel is able to assist its
customers to migrate their business processes securely over the
internet and maintain the levels of business trust they are familiar
with from a more traditional paper-based environment."

O'Carroll added "this development with Rainbow Technologies is part of
Vordel's initiative to drive forward our secure wireless PDA offering
to mobile workforces in several industry sectors."

Graham Peat, European Marketing Manager for Rainbow Technologies,
commented that "the most significant issue for companies striving to
build an eBusiness capability is that of legacy and the integration of
disparate systems.

"Our alliance with Vordel, whose XML-based products easily interface
with existing systems to deliver and receive secure, authentic data to
any digital channel, is an important step towards our goal of
facilitating eBusiness through fully interoperable security
solutions," Peat concluded.
