RealCommunities, Inc., and Co-founder of GolfWeb

Cynthia Typaldos is a leading authority on the software
infrastructure needed to build, operate, and evolve thriving Web
communities. She founded RealCommunities, Inc., which Mongoose
merged with in March 2001, to build Web community infrastructure
software for vertical portals, and corporate and B2B Web sites.

Mary Lou Song, Director of Marketing Technology at eBay, and
former Senior Manager of Community Strategy and Development at
eBay

As eBay's third employee and senior manager of community strategy
and development, Mary Lou Song focused on helping eBay work with
its members to create a fun, safe, and personal trading community.
She was responsible for the strategic direction of the eBay
community, the development and implementation of community
retention programs, and eBay's global community initiatives.

Ms. Typaldos and Ms. Song will explore the "12 Principles of
Civilization," with an emphasis on ways to grow successful
communities online. Webinar attendees will see how a collaborative
infrastructure enables corporations, through their Web sites, to
proactively manage key business relationships with and between
their most important stakeholders: customers, partners,
developers, integrators, franchisees, distributors, employees, and
others. In preparation for the webinar, attendees can access the
Mongoose Web site (www.mongoosetech.com) and read "Shared
Knowledge and Common Purpose: Using the 12 Principles of
Civilization to Build Web Communities" by Cynthia Typaldos.

May 30, 2001 Webinar: "Building Knowledge and Innovation
Management Portals"

Webinar Time:

10:00 a.m. Pacific/12:00 p.m. Central/1:00 p.m. Eastern

Speaker:

Edward C. Swanstrom, Founder and President of eKnowledgeCenter

Edward C. Swanstrom is secretary-general of the Global Knowledge
Economics Council (GKEC), a not-for-profit organization formed to
discuss and select plans, policies, and metrics to measure and
increase efficiency of knowledge markets and the quality of
knowledge at all levels. Mr. Swanstrom is the founder and
president of eKnowledgeCenter. He developed the Extreme
Innovation(SM) technique and the eKC Knowledge Management Method
taught by eKnowledgeCenter. Based on a factory model, and backed
by an economic model, the eKC Knowledge Management Method is an
active system for capturing tacit knowledge in a company,
preventing loss of knowledge, and improving knowledge acquisition
at all levels of business.

Webinar Focus:

Enterprise Knowledge Portals (EKPs) are increasingly popular in
organizations because they provide access to explicit knowledge in
the organization and collaboration and other tools for the
identification and sharing of tacit knowledge. But do they really
manage knowledge and innovation? Webinar participants will take a
look at the application of the GKEC Knowledge Economics Model in
the portal environment, using innovation indicators embedded into
the enterprise knowledge processes to drive the Innovation
Cockpit. The Innovation Cockpit offers a unique meta-view of
innovation across the enterprise that can be directly tied to
economic results.

June 13, 2001 Webinar: "The Hidden Cost of Portal Ownership"

Webinar Time:

10:00 a.m. Pacific/12:00 p.m. Central/1:00 p.m. Eastern

Speaker:

Nathaniel Palmer, Vice President and Chief Analyst at Delphi Group

Nathaniel Palmer is the author of more than 100 articles and
studies on the impact technology has on business, and the author
of the forthcoming book "The X-Economy" (Texere 2001). Nathaniel
Palmer is recognized for addressing the often-overlooked issue of
portal maintenance. Based on Delphi Group research and fieldwork,
Mr. Palmer believes portal maintenance is one of the most
significant factors impacting the cost of portal ownership.

Webinar Focus:

In this forward-looking webinar, Mr. Palmer will illustrate the
benefits of taking a Lifecycle Management approach to portal
ownership. In preparation for the webinar, attendees can access
the Mongoose Web site (www.mongoosetech.com) and read "Portal
Lifecycle Management: Addressing the Hidden Cost of Portal
Ownership" by Nathaniel Palmer, Delphi Group vice president and
chief analyst.

June 20, 2001 Webinar: "Maximize Portal ROI"

Webinar Time:

10:00 a.m. Pacific/12:00 p.m. Central/1:00 p.m. Eastern

Speaker:

Erick Rivas, President and CEO of Mongoose Technology

Mr. Rivas brings over 15 years of experience in enterprise
software design, development, and management to Portal Lifecycle
Management - the ability to cost-effectively design, assemble,
deploy, and manage a portal within a single environment. Prior to
Mongoose Technology, Mr. Rivas was co-founder and vice president
of development at ProtoSoft, Inc., a leader in enterprise
component modeling tools used by IT organizations to design and
deploy business-critical applications. After an acquisition of
ProtoSoft, Inc. by Platinum Technology in 1995, Mr. Rivas was vice
president of product integration in the development of Platinum's
Application Lifecycle Suite until he founded Mongoose Technology
in September 1999.

Webinar Focus:

An enterprise portal is the most pervasive application in the
enterprise - it touches every person and data source within an
organization. Without effective management, it can quickly become
the most complex and expensive application in the enterprise. In
this webinar, Mr. Rivas will present three ways to get the most
from this strategic investment: Portal Lifecycle Management, an
open standards-based portal framework, and applications of purpose
for enabling effective Web communities and online collaboration.
