Virtual Access Networks Names Steven Fisch CEO
E-Business Integration Leader To Drive Adoption Of System Migration
Solutions

LAWRENCE, MA, June 19, 2001 -- Virtual Access Networks, the industry's
leading provider of XML-based system migration and file management
solutions, today appointed Steven Fisch as President and Chief Executive
Officer. The company's lead product, The Van, delivers significant value,
robust functionality, and quantifiable cost savings to companies managing
change in computing environments. IT departments in all industries can
benefit from The Van's simplified solution to the management of complex
system and data migration projects.

A thirty-year industry veteran, Fisch has held officer-level positions with
leading companies in the enterprise software, systems, and e-business
sectors. As CEO of Virtual Access Networks, Fisch is charged with applying
his extensive experience in sales, marketing, and business development to
accelerate product development, tap new distribution channels, and increase
enterprise adoption of The Van; the company's award-winning systems
migration solution.

"Steve is a motivator, innovator and strong business leader," said Lee
Barbieri, Chairman of the Board of Virtual Access Networks. "His
entrepreneurial style and operational acumen have enabled some of the most
influential IT companies to penetrate untapped markets through strategic
partnerships and effective marketing. We are confident Steve will help
Virtual Access Networks realize its mission to become the standard in system
and data migration and information access," said Barbieri.

Fisch added, "An individual's professional success - and that of any company
- is directly linked to the ability to effectively access critical content,
regardless of the device. As enhanced computing environments are regularly
introduced, the need to migrate settings and data from one system to another
becomes increasingly important, and the problem becomes increasingly
complex. Virtual Access Networks' foresight into this escalating business
demand coupled with its pioneering use of XML technology has positioned the
company to become the industry standard for complex settings migrations
across all popular platforms."

Before joining Virtual Access Networks, Fisch served as President of US
Operations for Attunity, a Massachusetts-based company that he led to become
a global supplier of back-office e-business integration and B2B
infrastructure software. Previously, Fisch was an executive at
Computervision, where he rose to the level of Division President,
establishing strategic alliances with such leaders as ICL, Xerox and AT&T.
Fisch's extensive background also includes executive positions at major
players such as Prime Computer and McDonnell Douglas.
