Vordel and Software AG announce alliance to promote secure
inter-enterprise communication

Darmstadt, Germany and Dublin, Ireland 26 July, 2001 – Vordel, a
leading provider of solutions for secure business communications, and
Software AG (MDAX: Frankfurter Boerse), Europe’s largest systems
software vendor, today announced their partnership to provide global
organizations with secure Inter-Enterprise Integration (IEI)
solutions.

By integrating Software AG’s Tamino™ XML Platform with Vordel’s
TalkXML™ product suite, both companies will be equipped to address
customer demand for a complete, secure eBusiness infrastructure that
supports XML, and that can adapt to meet the changing needs of
customers in global markets.

Customers in such verticals as the financial services and government
sectors will now benefit as a result of the companies' partnership
agreement. Under the terms of the agreement, customers will be able to
purchase TalkXML™ and Tamino™ as a combined solution should they wish.
This agreement will allow both companies to deliver an integrated
technology solution and collaborate on sales initiatives.
