Subject: OASIS Member News: HyperVision and IXIASOFT Join Forces for Quick &Easy XML

HYPERVISION LTD AND IXIASOFT JOIN FORCES FOR QUICK & EASY XML

Chicago, Illinois and Montreal, Canada - 10-08-2001. IXIASOFT, a leading
provider of native XML database software and originator of TEXTML Server,
today announced a partnership with HyperVision, Ltd., creator of WorX™ SE,
the highest-rated, MS-Word based XML editor for non-technical users.
Seamless integration of TEXTML Server with WorX SE gives application
developers a powerful, ready-to-use tool for content creation and management
that meets multiple eBusiness needs.

The integrated TEXTML-WorX technology is specifically targeted to meet the
needs of application developers working to manage content in XML originating
from a base of non-technical authors. Both products are based in XML, the
newest ratified standard for business data interchange on the Internet. All
partners were satisfied today that WorX SE is compatible with the latest
TEXTML Server release and agreed that all future releases of both products
will be mutually compatible.

“As a result of this cooperation between IXIASOFT and HyperVision, customers
of both companies can get what their businesses need— meaningful XML content
creation and management that are simple, economical and quick to implement,”
said Philippe Gelinas, CEO of IXIASOFT.

"We are excited about this partnership,” said Pradeep Jain, Vice President
and CTO of HyperVision. “Both WorX and TEXTML Server are best of breed
products. In combination, they present almost unlimited possibilities. The
WorX template—downloadable from both our websites— is sure to make
integration a breeze. One-button import and export access to and from the
database to WorX for Word will also make using the products both simple and
convenient."

An IDG Research Services Group survey of 500 CIOs and senior level IT
personnel conducted in 2000 revealed that 2001 XML technology budgets were
likely to increase by 86% over the previous year. 78% of the respondents
reported that they were currently using, or considering using, XML,
indicating rapid adoption of XML as a business language. "We expect the cost
benefit ratio of using the integrated technologies of IXIASOFT and
HyperVision to further influence the way CTO’s allocate technology budgets
with regards to XML," summarizes Gelinas.

As part of their technology partnership, IXIASOFT and HyperVision will
collaborate on and coordinate sales and marketing efforts.
