Globalization Provider RWS Group Joins XML Interoperability Consortium
OASIS

San Francisco, CA -- October 24, 2001 -- RWS Group (translate.com), one
of the world's largest translation and localization providers, today
announced its participation in OASIS (Organization for the Advancement
of Structured Information Standards).  OASIS is dedicated to the
advancement of XML standards in the globalization industry.

RWS Group's XML expert Yves Savourel, author of the new book XML
Internationalization and Localization, will represent RWS Group.
Savourel has been working with SGML and XML localization issues for over
a decade. A developer of OpenTag, one of the earliest XML extracting
formats, Savourel is also co-technical chair of OSCAR, the group
responsible for TMX(TM), at Localization Industry Standards Association
(LISA). Most recently, Savourel has been involved with the development
of XML Localization Interchange File Format (XLIFF) and other efforts
related to XML and localization.
