Dutch Library for Audio and Braille to use WorX™ in Producing Digital
Talking Books

CHICAGO, Ill. – Nov. 19, 2001 – HyperVision, Ltd. today announces that its
Dutch partner, Mediasystemen, has recommended WorX as a key component for
use in a Dutch public service program that enhances and distributes literary
content to the blind and visually impaired. Mediasystemen, headquartered in
Haarlem, is developing the XML-based content management system in
cooperation with the Dutch Library for Audio and Braille (NLBB) in The
Hague.

Currently NLBB editors use Microsoft Word and other applications to digitize
books and re-publish them to Braille, audio, large print and the "Braille
computer line." The NLBB is not yet using an Internet channel that could
provide the widest, most cost-effective access to its enhanced book content.

The NLBB recognized XML as the markup language of choice for handling the
multiple output formats it already uses and as a facilitator in establishing
a future Internet channel. Its project team also located and modified a new
XML schema standard, the "Digital Talking Book," to govern its XML content.

Mediasystemen was called in to recommend the best products and methods for
authoring, transforming and storing the XML content. Consultants determined
that WorX was the best authoring and editing tool due to its high degree of
functionality with Word and its ability to create valid, well-formed XML
without extensive user training.

Time and capital savings from the new system are expected to enable the NLBB
to publish to new, additional output channels. As the body of NLBB content
in XML grows, an Internet channel is planned to give the broadest possible
access to enhanced media through its high capacity and low cost.

Mediasystemen (www.mediasys.nl), a Triple P company, provides cross media
solutions to publishers, enabling data presentation across a variety of
platforms ranging from print to the Internet. Mediasystemen consultants
focus on maximizing workflow productivity, efficiency and accuracy within
organizations such as newspapers, magazines, corporate publishers and
advertising agencies.

HyperVision, Ltd. (www.hvltd.com) has developed WorX for Word to let authors
be experts in their business, not in XML. Working closely with Word, WorX
maximizes the business author's comfort and productivity while taking
advantage of existing assets in technology and training. HyperVision’s
overriding goal is to develop tools that can produce valid and well-formed
XML from almost any corporate desktop. XML data generated from WorX is
easily re-purposed to media ranging from web to print to wireless,
expediting enterprise content management. US clients using or recommending
WorX include KPMG Consulting, the State of California, XyEnterprise and
Lighthouse Solutions. International clients include Mediasystemen in the
Netherlands.
