XML Global and iWay Software Debut XML Solution
                 for Financial Services Industry
----------------------------------------------------------------------

XML Transformation Server Highlighted at XML on Wall Street

New York, N.Y., November 19th, 2001 - XML Global Technologies, Inc. (OTC BB:
XMLG), an XML middleware company, and iWay Software, an Information Builders
Company that accelerates business integration, announced today their jointly
developed XML Transformation Server (XTS) will be featured at the 2001 XML
on Wall Street Conference. Being held in New York City on November 20th,
this annual exhibit and conference will gather top IT executives, including
technology management, systems architects, and other decision makers engaged
in XML developments in financial services.

Studies from Accenture, Gartner, SIA and Tower Research indicate IT spending
on STP/T+1 (Straight-Through Processing/Trade+1 Day) initiatives will range
from $10B to $30B. At the same time, however, firms are faced with reduced
IT budgets resulting from the global economic slowdown due to reduced
revenues from underwriting, trading and investment banking services. These
budget issues have been further compounded by the events of September 11,
2001. XML Global and iWay Software's XTS is an end-to-end STP/T+1 solution
that fits within today's IT budget realities.

iWay Software and XML Global provide a comprehensive 3rd generation solution
for Straight-Through Processing that reduces the implementation costs and
accelerates time to market by providing code-free solutions based on .NET,
XML and Web Services standards. The solutions allow firms to rapidly build
and deploy solutions that leverage industry leading message broker
technologies including Microsoft BizTalk Server and IBM WebSphere MQ
Integrator.

David Watson, Director of Enterprise Integration Products for iWay Software
commented: "This solution helps brokers, dealers, custodians and investment
managers settle global trades more quickly, reduce operational IT costs,
lower risk exposure and better integrate customer relationship management
and back-office systems."

iWay Software provides a set of Intelligent Adapters and connectors for the
financial services industry including FIX, GSTPA, ISO 15022, MQSeries,
SWIFT, TIBCO. Some 140 other intelligent adapters provide integration with
databases, mainframe systems and other back-office applications such as
CICS, DB2, Oracle, SAP, Sybase and Tuxedo. CRM application adapters include
Oracle 11i CRM, PeopleSoft8 CRM, mySAP.com and Siebel.

XTS combines XML Global's GoXML(tm) Transform, a patented transformation
engine for dynamic exchange of XML, EDI, and other data formats, with iWay
Intelligent Adapters and other iWay XML technologies. The resulting product
is a lightweight, low-cost integration solution that enables businesses to
link B2B or application systems together in real time, using XML for message
transport and enhancement between systems. Unlike many other message broker
solutions, the iWay/XML Global solution spans EAI and B2B based on emerging
Internet standards, including ebXML and Web Services. This provides an
integrated solution for business processing across a firm's boundaries and
for integration of internal systems.

XTS's easy-to-use Transformation Workbench enables implementers, with
virtually no integration experience, to create the sophisticated message
transformations necessary to enable systems to collaborate through iWay's
adapters without custom code, Java(tm) Components, or proprietary scripting
languages. It masks the complexity of back-end systems, allowing Business
Analysts and Systems Integrators to access the extensive information assets
contained in more than 140 applications and data sources on 35 platforms.

"One of the greatest challenges for the financial services industry today is
finding transformation technologies that will cost-effectively add value to
a firm's information assets and their financial processes," said Gordon
Ebanks, Executive Vice President of XML Global. "The combined iWay/XML
Global solution will give the financial services industry a one-stop
solution to this problem, allowing them to leverage their information assets
in a wide variety of Web-based applications."

The iWay/XML Global solution recognizes that Web Services will fundamentally
shift the economics of e-business integration as organizations can now
create reusable services and more flexible applications. Utilizing ebXML
standards, and specifically the GoXML(tm) Central registry product,
organizations can make these services available through standard Internet
protocols.
