		Call for Papers deadline --- December 7th
		The deadline for the call for papers for Open Publish 2002
is next Friday, December 7, 2001. To submit a proposal, visit the event

		The need for standards and best practices in the publishing
industry is now greater than ever as technology advances, and media
continues to converge and evolve. IDEAlliance, a not-for-profit, membership
association for the publishing and content industry, is announcing the
perfect forum that will provide its membership and the broader publishing
industry with an opportunity to learn about, participate in, and apply
publishing industry standards and best practices. 
		This forum called Open Publish 2002, will address these
goals across all the stages of the publishing and digital print process -
from design to creation to plate to print to web to e-book to wireless!
		The inaugural Open Publish <http://www.openpublish.com.au/>
event was held this past August in Sydney, Australia. Due to he overwhelming
success of the event, IDEAlliance and Allette Systems are taking the
conference global. The premiere North American event will be held March of
2002 in Seattle, Washington.
