Systinet Signs Web Services Deal with T-Motion, mobile online services
provider arm of T-Mobile International

Application reaches 5 million users, makes possible unique m-commerce
business model for fee-based content provision

CAMBRIDGE, MA – FEBRUARY 4 2002 – Systinet Corporation, a leading provider
of Web Services Infrastructure software, today announced completion of a
contract with T-Mobile’s mobile data arm T-Motion, to provide Web Services
software that helps link over 5 million mobile handset subscribers with the
T-Mobile network of 200 unique content providers. In what is believed to be
one of the largest deployments of Web Services technology, Systinet helped
T-Motion build a fee-based service model that is the first to offer a
revenue opportunity for the content providers with a pool of over 40 million
mobile phone users. As part of the contract, T-Motion, through T-Mobile, can
distribute Systinet software to content partners.

Founded in March 2000 and based in London, T-Motion delivers mobile online
services for T-Mobile networks in Austria, Germany and the UK. The
application required T-Motion to integrate these three mobile network
operators with T-Mobile’s authentication and session management systems, and
the content providers’ data.
T-Motion selected Systinet WASP Developer and WASP Server Advanced for Java
to create and run a web service that allows content providers to record all
calls and transactions with T-Motion, which in turn facilitates the unique
fee-based service model. Working with content partner’s that were widely
dispersed and had very different IT infrastructures meant that any solution
had to be technology-neutral, simple, low-cost, secure and scaleable.
T-Mobile also had to protect the commercial interests or all parties and
meet stringent regulatory and privacy requirements.

The use of Web Services made it simple for the integration of different
partners, and provided a loosely-coupled architecture that was flexible and
extensible. Systinet was selected because it provides a complete platform
for creating and using web services. Using Systinet WASP, three lines of
code created the entire client API, and WSDL support was excellent: Systinet
products interoperate with .NET, BEA WebLogic, IBM WebSphere and most other
platforms. The web service went live in August as part of T-Motion Plus.

Roman Stanek, Systinet Founder and CEO, commented: “We are very pleased to
be working with a world leader in the telecommunications market to provide a
unique new service to their clients. Web services are ideal for handling
complex integration challenges in disparate IT environments, and our WASP
products are the most mature solutions available today.”
