XyEnterprise Announces 37 Percent Software Revenue Growth, New Customers,
Profitability

READING, MA - August 14, 2002 - XyEnterprise, a leading developer of XML
content management and enterprise publishing software, announced today that
its software revenue increased more than 37 percent in its latest fiscal
year. For the company as a whole, revenue grew 16 percent over the prior
year. The company also announced that it has achieved operating
profitability in the first quarter of its current fiscal year.

XyEnterprise’s XML software solutions include Content@ Content Manager and
XML Professional Publisher (XPP) software. Content@ users can create, update
and share critical information from throughout a customer’s organization and
manage that information within a single-source repository. The XPP
high-speed composition engine can then assemble and publish any number of
needed documents - from product manuals, catalogs, and data sheets to
financial and legal publications, educational materials, and more - using
