Subject: [announce] SARVEGA ANNOUNCES PLATFORM FOR CONFIGURING AND MANAGINGDISTRIBUTED XML SWITCH DEPLOYMENTS

SARVEGA ANNOUNCES PLATFORM FOR CONFIGURING AND MANAGING DISTRIBUTED XML
SWITCH DEPLOYMENTS

Sarvega's XESOS Studio simplifies deployment and management for
enterprise-wide Sarvega XPE 2000 Switch deployments.

Chicago, IL - March 17, 2003 - SarvegaTM, Inc., the leading provider of
intelligent XML switching solutions, today announced the availability of
XESOS StudioTM. XESOS Studio, an industry first, is a stand-alone platform
that centralizes configuration, deployment, and management of large-scale,
distributed deployments of Sarvega XPE 2000TM switches. XESOS Studio
provides enterprise architects with a visual environment for managing the
XML acceleration, security and routing functionality provided by Sarvega XPE
2000 switches.

Sarvega developed XESOS Studio using the Eclipse platform, which is rapidly
becoming a de-facto standard widely used by leading vendors of products that
need to incorporate integrated development environments. Thus, XESOS Studio
provides enterprise architects a familiar environment that requires little
or no prior knowledge of XPE Switches. Moreover, since Eclipse has been
widely adopted by many leading application and platform vendors, XESOS
Studio also interoperates with a wide range of tools for J2EE applications,
web services, and version control systems.

The Sarvega XESOS Studio was designed to support distributed XPE deployments
such as that of CommWorks Corporation, a 3Com Company. CommWorks has enjoyed
non-stop operation from its XPE infrastructure since late 2001, making this
the longest running production deployment of XML processing appliances
anywhere in the world.

According to Chandru Bolaki, Director, CommWorks Corporation, a 3Com
Company, "The Sarvega XPE infrastructure supports real-time, proactive
communication between our customer support personnel and our global customer
base. Strong management capabilities are a
prerequisite to managing such an infrastructure and Sarvega's XESOS Studio
provides such capabilities."

"Sarvega's XESOS Studio represents an important breakthrough in the XML
processing industry because it effectively addresses configuration
management through a visual studio interface that can be easily utilized by
both applications and network support staff. The combination of its
graphical interface and its support for centralized configuration and image
distribution management will enable IT to more successfully scale
distributed networks of XML processing engines," stated John Morency, CEO
and principal of Momenta Research, a strategic IT consultancy.

Key features of XESOS Studio include:

* Wizards-based Environment. XESOS Studio offers a visual environment that
uses wizards-based utilities to enable enterprise architects to configure
XML acceleration, security, and routing settings and rules in distributed
deployments of Sarvega XPE 2000 switches.

* Point-and-Click Application Deployment. XESOS Studio supports
point-and-click deployments of XML acceleration, security, or routing
settings and rules to multiple XPE 2000 switches in a single operation,
reducing overall administration costs.

* Single Console Management. XESOS Studio provides a centralized console
that simplifies the management of large-scale distributed deployments of XPE
2000 switches. In particular, XESOS Studio supports live updates whereby
reconfiguration of XPE 2000 switches can be made in real-time without
interrupting operations.

"XESOS Studio is a powerful addition to our product family. As our customers
are scaling their deployments of XPE Switches, they require powerful yet
easy-to-use management utilities such as XESOS Studio. Only with XESOS
Studio and XPE 2000 Switches can enterprises easily deploy powerful, global
infrastructures to support XML processing applications enterprise-wide,"
said Sunil Gaitonde, president and CEO of Sarvega.

The Sarvega XPE product line has been proven in such Global 1000
organizations as 3Com's CommWorks Corporation, Fujitsu, as well as health
care organizations such as Chicago's Mt. Sinai Hospital Systems. The Sarvega
XPE 2000 Switch is based on Sarvega's patent-pending core technology, XML
EventStream Operating System TM (XESOSTM), a feature-rich, purpose-built
operating system that was built ground-up to address the complexities of XML
processing such as XML acceleration, security, and routing. It also enables
transparent deployment and provides standards-based manageability. The
comprehensive feature set and exceptional performance of the Sarvega XPE
2000 help enterprises maximize their investment in IT infrastructures by
offloading complex XML processing from the server infrastructure, lowering
both operational and capital costs.

XESOS Studio is currently available and is delivered with the Sarvega XPE
2000 intelligent XML switch. The Sarvega XPE 2000 Switches also support
command line interfaces, web interfaces, and SNMP management.
