XyEnterprise Users Meet in London to Explore Web Services, XML Content Management and Enterprise Publishing Solutions READING, MA - May 28, 2003 - The XyUser Group (XYUG), an independent organization of customers and users of XyEnterprise software, met last week in London to discuss business trends, explore technology developments, and share solutions to common business and workflow challenges. During the Conference, the latest versions of XyEnterprise’s Web-centric Content@ content management and XML Professional Publisher software were shown. Attendance was strong at this Conference, targeted for European users, with representation from the British Medical Journal, LexisNexis UK, Jane’s Information Group, Henry Ling Ltd, Reed Business Information, Letterpart Ltd., Column Design, and Kerrypress from the UK. Representatives from Jouve and CPi in France, Grafikon and Wolters Kluwer in Belgium, Portalyx in The Netherlands, EDS in Switzerland, and OrgaGraph GmbHGermany were also in attendance, as well as several industry consultants and analysts of technology trends. Sessions included case studies of recent XyEnterprise implementations including content re-use and workflow automation solutions in legal publishing, commercial printing, and technical documentation Technical sessions described best practices for applying current software features and presented a preview of coming opportunities using new Web Services interfaces. Sessions explored the ability to use XyEnterprise software to build a Web Services-based solution architecture that appeals to both end users and IT support teams. “This was a great turn-out and an enthusiastic community to work with,” said Karen Steele, executive director of the XyUser Group. “The extent of the participation demonstrates the proven business returns of XyEnterprise solutions and shows the value of sharing experience across the wide variety of organizations using XyEnterprise to meet their content management, publishing, and workflow requirements."
