Subject: OOSD Moscow 2004 Call for Papers Now Open

OASIS Open Standards Day "Interoperability Standards for Emerging
Economies," to be held October 12, 2004 in Moscow, announces that its Call
for Papers is now open. This one-day event is designed for providers,
integrators, and buyers of business and government integration solutions.
Presentations should focus on the development and application of open
standards in areas such as Web services implementation, service-oriented
architectures (SOA), business process management and transactional security.

Deadline for abstracts is September 3.

Topics will include the role of standards in IT as well as all aspects of
Web services and service-oriented architectures (SOA), including integration
within and across enterprises:

Interoperability and Standards
Drivers Behind Standards Adoption
Emerging Economies Success Stories
Web Services Stack
ebXML Framework
The Business Case for SOA
Transitioning Successfully to SOA
Federated Web Services
Discovery
Orchestration
Web Services Management
Business Process Management
Security

Speaker Candidates
Ideal candidates are OASIS TC chairs and active contributors to
specifications relevant to conference topics. Prominent implementers,
integrators and users of OASIS specifications, Web services technologies and
SOAs are also welcome.

If you have potential to deliver a substantive, challenging and original
presentation, you are encouraged to submit a proposal. In the proposal,
please highlight your credentials and previous speaking engagements.

Benefits of Speaking
Organizers will provide all visiting speakers with two-night accommodation
at the centrally-located luxurious Sheraton Palace Hotel. The event is
timed to follow shortly after the OASIS Symposium in Brussels, making it a
convenient occasion for that visit to Russia you have always wanted to make,
but could not justify. Event's Russian host - OASIS member UnitSpace - will
provide visa support, transportation to and from the airport, and will do
everything to make your stay in Moscow enjoyable.

Speakers will receive visibility in pre-conference promotion in print and
online. They will also receive exposure via the accompanying OOSD
Interoperability Standards for Emerging Economies portal for months prior to
and following the conference. Sessions may be recorded and made available
via the Internet to a wider audience (at the discretion of conference
organizers).

Guidelines for Submitting a Proposal
If you want to be a speaker at OOSD in Moscow, please email
submissions@open-standards.ru now and make sure to submit your proposal on
or before September 3. Timing constraints are not flexible as they are
caused by visa processing requirements. Please consider the following:

All submissions remain the property of their owners.
All conference sessions are vendor-neutral. Proprietary or confidential
information should not be included.
Submissions deadline is September 3, 2004.
OASIS will notify potential candidates beginning August 16, 2004.
Final materials from presenters are due by October 1, 2004.
