OASIS Member news: Ontopia training in Oslo & Chicago

We wish you all a happy new year 2005. Ontopia and its partners are 
continuing to offer practical training classes. With this email
I have the pleasure to announce two upcoming classes.

The first class will be held in Oslo from February 7-11, 2005 and followed
by a class in Chicago from February 21-25, 2005.

The class is directed at people who want to understand how ontology-driven 
technologies can help them manage the meaning of their
information.
The course doesn't require any previous experience with Topic Maps or the 
Ontopia Knowledge Suite (OKS).

While some attendees may have had a first glance at the Ontopia Omnigator, 
even creating their own Topic Maps, there is much more to
explore. Have you ever applied a structured query using tolog, tried to 
filter your information based on certain criteria, or built
your own "Omnigator" browsing environment?
This course gives you the chance to do this and more with a free 30-day 
evaluation license of the OKS when attending days 3, 4,
and/or 5.

The class can be taken as a five-day course that will give you a thorough 
foundation for working with Topic Maps-based technology,
or as individual days based on your particular interests, e.g., ontology 
design or practical hands-on topic map application
development.

The price is EUR 700 (NOK 5750) per person/day. We offer the complete 
five-day course for EUR 3000 (NOK 24600) per person. If there
is interest to send several people from one company, we offer a discount of 
50% for the 2nd and any further person. Partners may
send one person for free.
