Arbortext Appoints Michael McGrath Country Manager for Australia and New
Zealand
Continues global expansion into Asia/Pacific

ANN ARBOR, Mich., April 19, 2005 - Arbortext, the leading provider of
enterprise publishing software, today announced the appointment of
Michael McGrath as Country Manager for Australia/New Zealand. In this
role, Mr. McGrath will be based in Sydney and is responsible for
developing and executing plans to help Arbortext achieve its growth
objectives in this area. Two key elements of the plan focus on this
region's Channel Partnerships and extending the company's support to new
and existing customers.

Mr. McGrath brings more than 15 years of extensive experience
successfully managing channels and key accounts in developing and
implementing innovative strategies to address the changing market
environment. He joins Arbortext after serving in various senior
channels and marketing positions with Citrix Systems - most recently as
Manager, Government Business Unit. In these positions he successfully
built and implemented channel partnerships, partner training and
business development programs.

Commenting on his new position, Mr. McGrath stated, "I am excited to
join a company that is recognized as the market leader. Enterprise
publishing initiatives are critical to organizations that must create
and publish large amounts of product and customer specific information,
while also reducing total publishing costs and improving customer
satisfaction. I look forward to being part of the Arbortext team as we
help these organizations develop enterprise publishing strategies to
improve their publishing processes."

This region offers Arbortext new market opportunities as the need for
enterprise publishing grows. Organizations are finding it increasingly
important to provide customers with localized software, support and
services. Australian customers currently using Arbortext Enterprise
Publishing software include: Aerospace Technologies of Australia, Boeing
Aerospace Technologies of Australia, Department of Defence, Lexis Nexus,
Qantas Airways Limited, Thomson Legal & Regulatory Limited, University
of Queensland, Brookers and New Zealand Parliamentary Counsel.

"Michael brings great experience, management and leadership strength to
Arbortext," said Graham Freeman, Vice President of Worldwide Channel
Partnerships. "He has demonstrated strong focus on customer
satisfaction, product quality and channel management, all of which are
critical to building the Pacific region as one of Arbortext's top
markets. Michael will work to build upon the solid foundation and
customer base developed by our Australian Partner, Absolute Data Group."
