Subject: OASIS Member News: Reactivity SOA Gateway a Finalist in the Best of Interop and Well-Connected Awards

Reactivity SOA Gateway a Finalist in the Best of Interop Awards for Networld+Interop 2005 Las Vegas

Also Named Finalist for Network Computing Well-Connected Award

BELMONT, Calif., April 28, 2005 — Reactivity®, Inc. the leader in secure XML infrastructure, today announced the Reactivity SOA Gateway was named a Finalist in the Performance category of the Best of Interop Awards competition by CMP Media’s Network Computing and Network Magazine.  The winners of the competition will be selected at the NetWorldSM+Interop® 2005 Las Vegas conference and exhibition and announced at the awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 4th, 2005 at 4:00 p.m. at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center.

Network Computing also selected Reactivity for another year as a finalist in the Network Computing Well-Connected Awards. Technology Editor Lori MacVittie noted in her January 20, 2005 sneak peak of the Reactivity XML Security Gateway 2400 with XOS 4.1 that she “found the wealth of new features exciting,” and that “it (Reactivity’s) XML Security Gateway is a corporate-class device for securing Web services and XML traffic.”

Introduced in March 2005, the Reactivity SOA Gateway is the first product of its kind optimized for deploying enterprise XML Web services within and among data centers to integrate applications and make SOA operational– including the market’s only

secure XML communication channel between Gateways in multiple data centers, Multi-Way Connect™.  The Reactivity SOA Gateway incorporates the Reactivity Federated Identity Model for Web services, a reference architecture based on the Liberty Alliance trust model that for the first time offers a simple way to preserve and use layered identity with XML Web services.  Providing all the performance and key infrastructure functionality required to easily and securely deploy intra- and inter-data-center XML Web services, the Reactivity SOA Gateway delivers the fastest and most effective identity and access enforcement technologies available today, the broadest native connectivity to non-XML applications and secure, high-speed, multi-way communications between data centers.

The editors of Network Computing and Network Magazine, two of CMP Media’s premier information technology publications, reviewed over 150 submissions, evaluating new products. Finalists were then selected in nine categories, and the Reactivity SOA Gateway was named a Finalist in the Performance category. “When selecting finalists for the Best of Interop Awards, we're looking for products that stand out from the competition by providing a unique solution to a problem or one that blazes new territory in the networking arena,” said Ron Anderson, lab director for Network Computing and head of the joint editorial judging for the Best of Interop Awards.

“With XML expected to comprise 48 percent of all network traffic by 2008, it is critical that XML infrastructure appliances accelerate cross-system operation such as credential and schema validation,” said Jason Bloomberg at ZapThink. “Reactivity, with their Multi-Way Connect and credential and schema optimization has proven again that they understand and anticipate the issue with enterprise XML Web services deployment.”

"Reactivity's breadth of knowledge and experience combined with their architectural ability to adaptively leverage our specialized XML co-processors enables Reactivity to deliver truly exciting secure XML Web services appliances that have been recognized for this prestigious award,”  said Randy Smerik, president and CEO of Tarari, Inc. “We are pleased that Reactivity will demonstrate their latest “Powered by Tarari” systems on our booth #566 in the Performance Pavilion at Networld + Interop,"
