Technology Directions: Driving DITA Adoption in Europe

Adobe, IBM and Nokia Join Idiom to Highlight the Business Value of Emerging
XML Standard at Amsterdam Gilbane Conference, XTech 2005

Idiom Technologies and The Gilbane Report are proud to sponsor a
complimentary breakfast seminar for companies interested in learning more
about the important emerging XML publishing standard - Darwin Information
Typing Architecture (DITA) - that is helping organizations radically improve
their authoring and composition processes on Friday May 27, 2005, 8:00 -
10:00 AM Amsterdam RAI International Exhibition and Congress Centre in the
Holland Hall.

"In order to spur adoption of DITA, it's important to build a community of
individuals who can articulate and share the business benefits this emerging
standard can bring to companies who are already leveraging XML in their
globalization initiatives," said Frank Gilbane, conference chair and editor
and publisher of The Gilbane Report. "Led by an impressive panel of
industry influencers, Idiom's breakfast seminar is a valuable opportunity
for attendees to discuss their experiences, share lessons learned and begin
to establish a set of best practices around DITA implementations."

You'll hear from leading industry experts including Ian Larner, IBM; Indi
Liepa from Nokia; and Idiom founder and CTO Eric Silberstein. In addition to
providing an introduction to DITA and its practical uses, there will be an
interactive discussion about how to continue the dialogue and drive adoption
of DITA in Europe through meetings, networking, and education. This
discussion will be moderated by Pim van der Eijk, European Representative,
of OASIS, the Organization for the Advancement of Structured Information
Standards.

The seminar will be at the Amsterdam RAI, just following the Gilbane
Conference on Content Management, which is being held on Wednesday, May 25
and Thursday, May 26. You do not need to be registered for the Gilbane
Conference in order to attend. If you are interested in attending the
Gilbane Conference, please visit www.gilbane.com. The Gilbane Report is
pleased to offer a special rate of $495 for full conference access. Use the
code "Idiom" when prompted on the registration form to receive this special
