Today's news deepens
DataPower's and IBM's broad relationship.
Together DataPower and IBM have integrated DataPower's XML-aware
networking layer into enterprise IT infrastructure. For example, working with IBM's Tivoli
Access Management system the DataPower's XS40 XML Security Gateway is able act
as a policy enforcement point for Web service access control established in TAM
(See: DataPower
Certified 'Tivoli Ready'; Integrates Its Award-Winning XML Security Gateway with
IBM Tivoli); the companies have
also integrated DataPower's award-winning XS40 XML Security Gateway with IBM's
new identity management solution, IBM's Tivoli Federated Identity Manager
(See: DataPower
Certified 'WS-Trust Ready' for Tivoli...); in June DataPower
announced a New XML-Aware Blade
Based On IBM eServer BladeServer T For Telco Sector; and IBM has extensively
evaluated the functionality and performance of DataPower's XML-aware networking
devices (See: XML
Acceleration Appliances).
In
1999 DataPower formulated a vision for the next generation of intelligent
network equipment to secure, rationalize, accelerate and integrate applications.
This vision of XML-aware networks (XANs) is a key part of the transition from
packet-oriented networks to application-oriented
networks, where smart network equipment provides not just connectivity but
message-level security, routing, integration and acceleration. Powered by DataPower's patented
wirespeed XML processing technology, DataPower's award-winning,
application-oriented networking solution portfolio includes the DataPower XS40 XML Security
Gateway; the DataPower
XA35 XML Accelerator; the DataPower XI50 Integration
Appliance; and the gigabit-speed XG4 XML Chipset for
OEMs.
DataPower provides enterprises with intelligent
XML-Aware network infrastructure to ensure unparalleled performance, security
and manageability of next-generation applications and XML Web Services.
DataPower’s patented XML Generation Three (XG3™) technology powers the
industry’s first wire-speed XML-aware networking devices that provide immediate
return on technology investments while streamlining application deployments.
Founded in 1999, DataPower is privately held and based in
