The tests will enable organizations to accelerate SOA roll-outs by providing crucial security checkpoints and tests throughout the deployment reducing costs and risks associated with web-based communications. To successfully deploy a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA), organizations employ a multi-step process with proof of concepts (POCs) or pilots as critical checkpoints in that process. However, often POCs take place before services are run or client applications are complete, requiring time consuming development of purpose built test systems. Layer 7 is working with Parasoft’s SOAtest to address this potential obstacle by providing a complete set of services and tests to quickly validate a SOA deployment scenario. “Far too often, organizations assume that an ‘adequate’ infrastructure is in place and that another organization has responsibility for that infrastructure,” says Wayne Ariola, Parasoft’s Vice President of Corporate Development. “These assumptions lead to fire drills and reactive vulnerability remediation.
