Subject: RE: [asap] Groups - New Action Item #0006 HTTP Authentication Issue

I looked into what our implementation does wrt HTTP authentication.
Unfortunately, our implementation does not use HTTP authentication.

Best regards

Justin

Subject: [asap] Groups - New Action Item #0006 HTTP Authentication Issue

OASIS Asynchronous Service Access Protocol TC member,

Keith Swenson (kswenson@us.fujitsu.com) has created a new action item.

Number: #0006
Description: HTTP Authentication Issue
Owner: None ()
Due: 30 Jun 2004

Fujitsu implementation requires that all HTTP requests be authenticate.
Clearly we can not allow unauthenticated requests to operate on a server.
Spec says we support security of the lower layers, which includes HTTP
authentication, but Jeff Cohen is unsure how to integrate this into the .Net
framework that he is using for the demo client. Alternative is WS-Security,
but nobody on the call had experience with this. This action item is to
come to a proper long term resolution about this.
