BDE 1.1 COMMITTEE DRAFT SPECIFICATION 01 STATUS

A ticket has been opened for publishing the BDE 1.1 CSD 01: https://issues.oasis-open.org/browse/TCADMIN-2272.
Kenneth to follow up with TC Admin.

REVIEW OF SMP 1.0 WORKING DRAFT 05

A preliminary draft of SMP 1.0 Working Draft 05 had been circulated before the meeting: https://www.oasis-open.org/committees/document.php?document_id=57070&wg_abbrev=bdxr.

The following comments were made:

1) In the related work section, the complete citation format should be used for SMP 1.0 CS 01 and BDXL 1.0 CS 01. Kenneth to update the document.

2) The normative reference to XML-DSIGv2 should be updated to a newer version. Sander to send proposal for updated citation. It was discussed that this change does not alter functionalities or otherwise disrupt backwards compatibility.

3) Section 3.2.1, caching of HTTP responses. It was discussed to clarify that it is optional for SMP servers to implement caching headers and that it is optional for an SMP client to make use of caching only in the case that the server supports it, and that only the Last-Modified and If-Modified-Since headers of RFC 7232 are supported in SMP. Kenneth to send a proposal to Erlend CC the TC mailing list.

It was agreed to close all changes and submit the final Working Draft 05 by Friday this week so that an electronic vote on whether to approve the document as Committee Draft Specification can be done this year. All present members agreed that all proposed changes to the specification are non-material in nature why the Committee Specification Draft, if approved by the TC may be submitted to be voted on as Committee Specification without a public review.

UPDATE ON BDXL AND SMP STATEMENTS OF USE

The OASIS TC Process says that three Statements of Use are required to submit a specification as Candidate OASIS Standard, of which at least one Statement of Use must come from an OASIS Organizational Member. Since the TC has already received two Statements of Use from OASIS Organizational Members (Difi and IBM) all subsequent Statements of Use counts towards eligibility.
