The OASIS Biometrics TC has closed

At the request of the TC members, the OASIS Biometrics TC has closed.

The Biometrics TC was launched on 12 February 2013 with the goal of accelerating use of biometrics through services and enhanced interoperability in distributed environments. The TC produced updates to Biometric Identity Assurance Services (BIAS) SOAP Profile Version 1.0 (http://docs.oasis-open.org/bias/soap-profile/v1.0/biasprofile-1.0.html) as well as a Committee Specification Draft for WS-Biometric Devices Version 1.0 (http://docs.oasis-open.org/biometrics/WS-BD/v1.0/WS-BD-v1.0.html).

Maintenance of the work of the Biometrics TC has been transferred to OASIS Biometric Services (BIOSERV) TC (https://www.oasis-open.org/committees/bioserv/).

As is standard OASIS policy, the archives of the Technical Committee will remain publicly visible on TC's web site at https://www.oasis-open.org/committees/tc_home.php?wg_abbrev=biometrics.

The TC email list will be closed but the archive will remain available at http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/biometrics/. The comments email will remain open and will be accessible at http://lists.oasis-open.org/archives/biometrics-comment/.
