Subject: [bpel4people] New Issue: CreateLeanTask Interaction Styles

Target:

WS-HumanTask 1.1 CD 05 revision 8
+ Issue 111 resolution attached to
http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/bpel4people/email/archives/200910/msg00003.html
+ Issue 111 resolution amendment within TC call minutes in
http://www.oasis-open.org/apps/org/workgroup/bpel4people/email/archives/200910/pdf00000.pdf

Description:

The amended issue 111 resolution describes "createLeanTask" as a one-way
operation. This operation definition must be revised such that the invoked
lean task's output can be returned.

Proposal:

In the same way as an operation implemented by a standard WS-HT task, the
"createLeanTask" operation should support two interaction styles:
(1) A request-response operation returning the lean task's output -- note
that this is a long-running operation that can only be invoked via
asynchronous protocols.
(2) A one-way operation that also accepts an EPR which is used for a
callback in order to deliver the lean task's output.

Revise the CreateLeanTask operation definition as shown in the attached
document "Lean Task Interactions + DK.doc" (see change tracking). Note that
this proposal document also contains additional formatting and a minor
simplification of lean task operation names.

Introduce a new WS-HT XML namespace on page 2 of the WS-HumanTask
specification:

      htlt –
      http://docs.oasis-open.org/ns/bpel4people/ws-humantask/leantask/api/200803

and a new WSDL artifact defining the lean task operations (see attached
file "ws-humantask-leantask-api.wsdl").

(See attached file: Lean Task Interactions + DK.doc)(See attached file:
