Subject: Re: [bpel4people-editors] Getting to Done - RE: [bpel4people] RETURNING THEEDITING PEN

Last week I had some private emails with Mary, and in part because of OASIS staff's workload and in part because is normally some to and fro between the TC and staff to tidy up details, we can expect it to take approximately 2 calendar weeks between the time we believe we're done and the time the PRD officially starts.

For a number of reasons, IMHO we REALLY need to get this (60 day) PRD issued BEFORE American Thanksgiving. Working backwards, that means (in my mind) the drop dead date for the TC issuing what it believes to be the final PRD candidate is Wednesday November 11. There are 3 TCs scheduled (inclusive) between now and November 11. I suggest we agree to hold additional TCs as needed to hold that date.

Finally, for those of you who aren't aware, here is the checklist OASIS staff screens all submissions against, and I've been told staff is quite picky about it:

Hi Luc, IMO both items must be addressed before PR:
#1 is about a normative statement, which would cause a second PR if it is
handled as a PR finding.
#2 is very likely a blocker for the PR.

However, I think we can proceed in parallel with letting the TC review
**all other** changes that have been edited into the spec so far.

W.r.t. another TC call this week, I have no preference (as I am out of
office anyway).

Dieter / Dave,

It seems to me that before proceeding to PRD-01, we should:

1. incorporate Ivana's proposed text to BP-127
2. and, as Dieter proposes below we should add conformance sections

Though this might add the need to hold another meeting next week to get
approval, I sense that it's the cleanest way to make forward progress.

Thoughts?

Luc

Dear B4P + WS-HT Editing Team !

I am done with editing for the remaining open issues 82, 127, 128, 129 --
another milestone :-)

====> Luc: these issues may be marked "Applied" in Jira.

In preparation for the CD approval and the Public Review, I also made the
following changes:
-- Added a copyright and a documentation element to all XML artifacts
-- Copied all XML artifacts back to appendix sections of the two
specifications

This is now SVN revision 155:
-- WS-HumanTask 1.1 is now CD 05 revision 10
-- BPEL4People 1.1 is now CD 05 revision 3

====> Luc: would you prepare a REVIEW PACKAGE "BPEL4People\Specifications
\Snapshots\rev155.zip" in SVN and send it to the TC?

The TC may then review the changes and approve the specifications as
"Committee Draft 06 and Public Review Draft 01".

The title/URL/date changes on the title page and the running footer, and
the accepts of the editing changes are the next editing steps.

Before publishing, at least the Conformance sections (WS-HT 12 and B4P 8)
remain to be added.

The resulting artifacts may then go to SVN as "BPEL4People\Specifications
\cd-06+prd-01\cd-06+prd-01.zip".
