Subject: CS Ballot Process

Hi folks,

Mary clarified the balloting process (see forwarded email). So at this week's TC meeting, rather than voting on CS status directly we'll need to pass a motion asking Mary to launch an electronic ballot. The formal agenda will reflect this when I sent it out.

If/when we seek OS status, once again the request will be two phased - first a formal motion requesting a special majority ballot, then the special majority ballot itself.

Hi Dave,

All Special Majority Ballots must be run as electronic web ballots. Here's how it goes:

If you are making no further changes to the documents that were last submitted for public review:
- TC makes / seconds motion to submit for CS ballot.
- minuted.
- create a zip file containing the editable source and the comment resolution log
- go here and fill out the form for Committee Specification Ballot: http://docs.oasis-open.org/templates/TCAdminRequests.html

I run the ballot, and when the ballot passes, I update the documents to CS. No churn required :)

Mary
