Subject: [bt-spec] Bindings section
The attachment is the section of the draft defining the SOAP bindings. This is based on Alex's text of 6 September. The main editorial difference is the creation of the "binding proforma" as proposed (and agreed, I think) around August time, which defines what a binding specification must cover - thus making it easier for people to define proprietary or future standard bindings. The main technical differences from Alex's draft are the application of what was said in the conference call on 27 Sept. No special issues, other than the obvious one of if it's right. A useful test of the proforma, if you have an alternative mapping in mind, is to see if the proforma asks the right questions to make you write a binding specification that could be implemented by two people who could then interwork (even if your intent is to have a proprietary binding) Also, is the SOAP use and terminology correct. I may have unintentionally mangled Alex's design.
