Subject: [business-transaction-comment] BTP assessment of WS-Transaction,WS-Coordination
A new set of specs have been released yesterday by IBM, BEA and Microsoft. In first read, the WS-Transaction + WS-Coordination specs seem to cover much of the same ground as the BTP spec. I was wondering if members of this TC who have read the new specs can comment on how they view the new specs w.r.t BTP. I look forward to hearing your expert opinions on this subject. -- Regards, Farrukh -----------Excerpt from a message on soap-dev@xml.apache.org by <sanjiva@watson.ibm.com> ------------------ BPEL4WS: Business Process Execution Language for Web Services (represents the merging of WSFL and XLANG) http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/webservices/library/ws-bpel/ WS-Coordination: Describes an extensible framework for providing protocols that coordinate the actions of distributed applications. http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/webservices/library/ws-coor/ WS-Transaction: Describes coordination types that are used with the extensible coordination framework described in WS-Coordination. http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/webservices/library/ws-transpec/ -----------Excerpt from a message on soap-dev@xml.apache.org by <sanjiva@watson.ibm.com> ------------------
