I can not make it tomorrow either.
Perhaps, a core team can get together next week at Java1 as was suggested previously.

Ales, this is pretty much what I had in mind. Apart from the Wednesday when I have prior engagements, I'm prepared to meet anywhere and anytime to try to put the finishing touches on our protocol. I believe Mark Potts said he might be able to set something up for JavaOne which would involve a dial-in facility, so hopefully that would allow those people who can't attend in person to still get in on the act.
