My apologies for my disappearance (exporting my car turned out much more
complicated than it needed to be and left me stranded for a few days.)  I
will shortly update the messaging portion of the spec to take into account
the discussion that went on for the past few weeks, although I doubt I will
be finished for tomorrow's call.
