Bill Pope to chase down volunteers. * Need a "What is BTP" set of slides. Report from JavaOne Mark Potts - There was interest in BTP and transactionality for Web Services. Everyone has a different idea of what a "transaction" is. - Protocol of commitment, commitment management * Mark Potts to send slides to Peter Furniss JavaOne presentation - People are moving beyond HTTP/SOAP/WSDL definition of web services. Schedule - On track for face to face - Spec - review draft is 1 week late getting out but is complete as of today. - The latest version of the spec shall be deemed to be version 9.5 and re-published as such. - Primer - running late but making progress Open Issues - 1 issue open, Issue 89: "J2EE Inter operability - JMS short circuit" - 7 Issues in solution proposed state WSTx - Info from the WS DevCon that IBM and Microsoft are getting ready to publish their specification on web services transactions. - All indications are that this is based on callable compensators made visible as part of the web service definition. Primer Primer reviewers plase send Bill Cox go/nogo indication Thursday.
