Issue: - IBM has claimed patent on ebXML CPPA. ===================================================================== Agenda: - What's needed for committee draft? This item may simply be a forward reference to the issues listed below. - Nothing added on the call. - Schedule Committee draft out of Newcastle meeting? - Comments back from Systinet, inconsistencies between the schema and the document, schema is behind the document. - Sazi has some editorial comments - Face to Face in Newcastle - Who is attending? - What issues are open and how are they to be dealt with? - Issue 87: Conformance The change to resolve this issue was voted down. What's needed to resolve? * Several drafts of this text have gone out to the list. Need to see if the latest text addresses all of the objections. Ready for next email vote. - Issue 89: J2EE Inter-operability - JMS short circuit. There is a proposed XML representation for BTP state. * Still needs to be discussion of why this should be included in Draft 1.0. While it is useful it has not had enough study. Is there enough benefit to including it in 1.0 to overcome the possibility that we get it wrong and need to change it in a subsequent release of the spec. Not ready for email vote. - Issue 108: Participant and service identification. The change to resolve this issue has been voted and agreed. Is there more that needs to be done? * Answer is YES, issue 108 will be re-opened to address this. There is still discussion on the business-transaction list, primarily between Mark Little and Peter Furniss, that is converging. "Model issues" - Issue 24: The apparent complexity of the model is too great State diagrams for hazard and termination protocol needed? - Issue 25: Conformance (depends on issue 87) - Issue 66: Event diagram for termination protocol - Issue 73: ACID relaxation in overview There is no explicit comparison to traditional ACID transactions in the draft 0.9.5 text. Editorial comments a) Tree composition is top down only b) Compensatable versus cancellable as a BTP requirement William Z Pope zpope@pobox.com
