Title: Re: [business-transaction] Plan to close this TC
Although I'd obviously disagree with the "there's little been done" paragraph, I would like to second Alastair's thanks to the TC and OASIS staff. Irrespective of what came afterwards, it is true that the BTP work was important and did help to drive transactions in Web Services. I for one am proud to have been involved!

Mark.

Jamie,

I think this is a recognition of reality. Thanks for your support and
that of Karl before you during the lifetime of this TC.

My personal best wishes to all current and former BT TC members and
observers.

In my view, in this area there's little been done since BTP 1.0 came out
in June 2002 that adds anything fundamental or very interesting to what
we achieved back then, with the exception of some real forward steps on
tranactions + security in WS-TX. It's a pity that the elegance and power
of BTP's single overarching approach to optimized 2PC-based coordination
of loosely-coupled systems has been so frequently underestimated,
misunderstood and misrepresented.
