Team,

It has been a busy few weeks.

Attached is the results of my efforts on getting a first
draft together and sample documents.

This is just the start of course but I am excited about
how well things have matured from last years work
on assembly - to this point now.

The next steps include validation of the specifications
against production documents, and then obviously
as a result of that - building and maintaining the 
Open issues list - and then resolving and enhancing
the base specifications document accordingly.

You will see I've found several other groups who
are interested in reviewing our work and looking
at applying to their domain - including ISO and
several other OASIS teams - we will need to
establish formal liaison members as those
relationships develop.

We also need to start work on a tutorial, and I have also
started work on an online demo using IE5+ (will not 
work with Netscape or Opera).

This is actually just a temporary home - the other good
news is that OASIS is implementing a NEW portal for
all the OASIS TCs called Kavi.

This should be online next week - and will give us 
superb facilities for managing the groups work.
I've already done the online training from Kavi
as the group chair - and I can say this will 
definately make our work a whole lot smoother.

Standby for more information on that from Karl.

I've also asked Karl to post the ZIP file to our
current site files - just so we have it out there too in
the meantime.

I'm planning now to let everyone digest the
attached and then post action items and
comments to the list - you can also send me
edited versions of the word document or
XML files - and then from there
we can schedule our next tele'conference
call - probably for next Thursday.

I'm also especially keen to receive
further samples from people of CAM.xml
documents.
