Just a quick note here - I'm currently (at long last) drafting up a CAM v1.2 specification. Focus is on errata, bug fixes and clarifications. Also - on the sourceforge side and jCAM I'm working on code for a lightweight top down design approach - that leverages dictionary and XSD schema core components (like NIEM, EML and OAGi use). So the idea is you can quickly sketch out a exchange structure design in simple XML instance - then have CAM template generated that fleshes out all the details - pulled from a core XSD schema. Therefore leveraging CAM, XSD and dictionary tools we have developed already.
The idea is to put out an interim specification that clarifies these mechanisms and spec' details for current implementations - and then be a spring board for later on when CEFACT XML4CCTS and OASIS SET TC work matures and we can look at ways to integrate those for a CAM v1.5 specification.
