Like the other appendices, the "Example Database Platform Component" has drifted from the changes in the spec that have been made in the last year or so. While it is clear that somebody (either the CAMP TC or some other body) should do some of the groundwork in defining what we call "types" (artifact types, relationship types, and characteristic types) it is not clear that this needs to be done within the concept of the CAMP spec itself.
