get it the first time...spamator probably doesn't like you at
home.
All,
Now
that we're having so much fun trying to settle on a date for a Feb f2f, here's
another one to consider for May. Andrew presents an interesting
possibility. We'll discuss on Wednesday.
thx...Dave

Subject: Action Item - Feasibility of hosting a meeting in Glasgow
in May... Dave,
I have two options for the group a Central
Glasgow venue or a Scottish Loch Side venue, both are subject to agreement
as soon as possible because I hadn't realised how busy Glasgow and Loch Lomond
was in May. The tourists are booking up all the hotels and driving the
costs up as I write this email! The weeks commencing the 9th and 16th
May 05 are still showing some availability.
First Option: A local
hotel within walking distance of my office - Kentigern House, for
example the Corus, next door from £84 (room only) www.corushotels.co.uk. or The
Jury's Inn, Jamaica Street from £74 (room only) www.jurysdoyle.com A group rate can
be arranged but I need numbers and confirmed dates.
These hotels are only a 15 minute
airport bus ride from Glasgow Airport (GLA).
I can provide a conference room for 3 days,
lunch and coffee/tea, - however no internet access because of our Building
Security Policy.
Second Option: The
'Lodge on the Loch' this venue is 45 minutes drive from Glasgow
Airport (GLA) set on the banks of Loch Lomond near the small village of
Luss, Argyll. This venue would be a little remote so a Dinner, Bed and
Breakfast rate starting from £130 has been arranged. If you choose to
upgrade to suites that several US President's use then these are from
£229 a night! www.loch-lomond.co.uk
I can host the Group here for 3 days - to include
Conference room, meeting internet access, morning+afternoon coffee/tea and
lunches.
f2f February: I have not cast my
vote because I do not want to sway the vote for either week because I still may
need to cancel. The 15-18 would be my preferred choice however, to then
cancel would be unfair to the group. I will try to attend either week -if
I can.
Regards
Andrew
