Subject: DOM Exceptions
Hello, In response to my action item I went through the latest version of chapter 5 and looked for exceptions that my be missing. In general I feel that exceptions should be thrown if something is wrong with either the input or the method is unable to produce meaningful results. Boolean methods do not need exceptions in general (hard to deal with as part of an if() statement). And in some cases exceptions are not needed because the spec defines what will be returned in those cases. Comments welcome. Thank you Stuart. -- Stuart Galt SGML Resource Group stuart.a.galt@boeing.com (206) 544-9925
